Review - 17 Wild Curls Mascara

I wasn't going to review my new mascara but I used it today for the first time without curling my eyelashes before and I was so surprised with the results, so I thought I should really review this product.
Normally I curl my eyelashes before applying mascara but I am in desperate need of some eyelash curler refills so my curlers are unusable at the moment. So naturally I though I would have to live with my poker straight eyelashes until I had refills... how wrong I was.

I wouldn't normally look at the 17 brand for mascara (Maybelline is usually my go-to brand) but I was sent a voucher because of my Boots Advantage card to purchase 17 Wild Curls mascara for £1 (normally £6.29). I thought this was a super bargain so I obviously bought it.
Anyway back to the review. So this morning I reluctantly started applying my mascara to my flat eyelashes and to my surprise they actually began to curl up! Because the brush is one of those ones with the flexible plastic bristles I thought I wouldn't get along with it but I was surprised that I actually like it. It reaches every lash and coats each one nicely without clumping, you could also layer this mascara, for a more dramatic look, without it becoming clumpy. In a mascara I look for volume more than length because I have stupidly long eyelashes anyway and this mascara definitely delivers, one coat is perfect for a daytime look making each lash look thicker leaving the eye more defined and framed.
I bought the Waterproof Black (it being summer and all that) so I'm pleased to report it doesn't budge, another plus. I think the leopard print packaging is super cute and, this is going to sound so weird, I like that when you close the top it makes a little clicking sound so you know that the top is securely closed.

I am definitely thinking about repurchasing once this after its finished. I love being surprised by products, beats being underwhelmed right?

What product have you been surprised by the most?

P.S. I was just on the Boots website and was surprised to see that at the moment there is an offer on this mascara making it only £2, can't go wrong!! (Not sure how long this will last though so grab it while you can)
